The Mega Millions Lottery, purports to be the biggest jackpot
lottery in the United States. It is a multi-state lottery, with the
following states participating: Georgia, California, Illinois,
Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, New York, New Jersey, Texas, Ohio,
Washington and Virginia.

join them. The jackpot starts at a massive $12 million - no waiting

To play, you purchase a ticket consisting of 5 numbers plus a
powerball number - you can select these numbers yourself or have a
computer auto-select them for you. The jackpot requires that you
correctly predict all 5 numbers out of 56, plus the powerball. To win
the lowest prize level, all you have to do is correctly select the
powerball, which is drawn from a pool of 46 numbers.
In Callifornia the proze structure works differently to the other
states, as it is pari-mutuel, with payouts determined by ticket sales.
All other states have pre-determined payouts. |
