June 28 - Taiwanese-based point-of-sale (POS) and gaming machine
manufacturer, Firich Enterprises Co. Ltd, has announced that it will increase
the number of retail outlets in China that will sell its sports lottery
scratch cards to meet demand during the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
According to a recent press release, Firich Enterprises is currently
cooperating with various Chinese lottery operators in order to compete for
franchises to allow the company to sell its sports-themed lottery scratch cards
in local retailers to Chinese and international lottery fans alike.
Already Firich Enterprises has successfully acquired franchises - in association
with local partners - in many Chinese cities, with almost 11,000 retail outlets
geared up to sell its sports lottery scratch cards. It is in the process of
vying to win franchises to supply another 7 to 11 cities.
The Taiwanese firm is aiming to have all of its retail franchise and
distribution agreements in place throughout China, before the 2008 Beijing
Olympic Games kick off in August this year.
Despite demonstrations earlier this year regarding China's poor treatment of
neighboring country, Tibet, hundreds of thousands of international visitors are
still expected to descend on the Asian country to enjoy the Olympic Games and
boost the economy.
Firich Enterprises is the world's leading POS system manufacturer. Since1995 it
has been a creative and innovative force responsible for the manufacturing and
development of high performance, and high quality systems.
