In addition, 65 percent admitted to seeking out professional financial advice to help them manage their lottery windfalls, while interestingly only 8 percent admitted to either retiring, quitting their jobs, changing their jobs, starting their own businesses or going to school/going back to school.
Since OLG launched the LOTTO 6/49 in June 1982, over $8.6 billion in cash prizes have been paid out to lottery fans in Ontario, including 1,145 jackpots. But what makes playing the LOTTO 6/49 so admirable, is the knowledge that the lottery has generated billions for worthy causes in the province.
