$132m Georgia Lottery Ticket Still Unclaimed - 09-01-08

September 1 - If there is one thing that cheers up the millions of lottery players around the world that haven't yet won a multi-million dollar, pound or euro lottery jackpot, its news of an unclaimed lottery ticket, such as the unclaimed $132 million Mega Million Jackpot in the state of Georgia, USA.

Even though it has been confirmed that Georgia Lottery's recent winning $132 million Mega Million jackpot ticket was sold last week by a Mableton store clerk, the mystery remains of who exactly it was sold to and why they haven't come forward yet to claim their massive windfall.

Said clerk at the Mableton Chevron Ali Akber, 'We've been informed that the lucky winner bought the winning Georgia Lottery Mega Million jackpot ticket here but he or she has still not come forward to receive their winnings. It is very strange yet quite intriguing at the same time.'

Mableton is approximately 11 miles west of downtown Atlanta, and has plenty of intrepid lottery fans. One such fan is a waitress at Jolly Joe's Restaurant & Pub, Chanda Paquette, 'The last person who won the lottery bought and fixed up the local Chinese restaurant back in July 2007.'

Paquette was referring to Marisa Hsiao who won a $300,000 on a scratch-off ticket and is now the proud owner of the House of China Chinese Restaurant.

Said Georgia Lottery Corporation spokesperson, J.B. Landroche, 'Up until now we have still not been contacted by the lucky Mega Million jackpot winner and being that Monday is the Labor Day holiday, we are expecting to hear from them on Tuesday at the earliest. However, there is no real rush as they have 180 days to cash the ticket in before it expires.'

In other lottery news from Georgia, 54-year-old Buford resident Lorie Scarbrough recently won a $5 million Georgia Lottery 15th anniversary Millionaire Extravaganza scratch-off game. Best of all, she won the money after recently being laid off from her job. Now that's good Karma!
